Lisa M. Gardner (she/her) provides her clients intelligent, thoughtful and creative representation, bolstered by her extensive and varied experience in all aspects of family law. Lisa received her law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2008, with a concentration in Child and Family Advocacy. Since graduating, Lisa has practiced exclusively in the area of family law, and has represented clients through all stages of divorce, including negotiated settlements and trial. She also has vast experience in Family Court matters, including child support, custody and family offense proceedings.
Lisa has received generous recognition for her experience and professionalism. Every year since 2014, Lisa has been selected as a Rising Star by New York Metro Super Lawyers. The Long Island Business News has twice acknowledged her for her success and dedication, first as one of the “Top 50 Women in Business” and later as a recipient of the “Millennial Award,” which “honors the bright and dynamic young professionals…who contribute to the…community through public service and … significant strides in business.” Additionally, Lisa was selected as one of the Outstanding Women in Law by Hofstra University School of Law.
Lisa has demonstrated a passionate dedication to the practice of family law since law school. During her time at Hofstra, Lisa participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic where she assisted with the representation of children in abuse, neglect and special immigrant juvenile matters. Lisa also volunteered her time for the Courtroom Advocates Project, where she assisted victims of domestic violence who were seeking orders of protection. Lisa served as an extern in the Matrimonial Part for the Honorable Elaine Jackson Stack in the Nassau County Supreme Court.
Prior to attending law school, Lisa received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of Michigan.
Lisa is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section. She lives on Long Island with her husband and rescue puppy.
